We all know how hard it can be to find clothes that fit perfectly. I know that being petite, I often find that things are either too long, too big around the waist or else shaped to fit someone with different proportions to me! So what’s the solution? Well, it’s easy and can honestly save you time and money too! Find yourself a dressmaker/tailor that can either alter things to fit you or bespoke make things from scratch.
I met Zuzana, from Tailoress Design, pictured hard at work above, some years ago now and can’t recommend her highly enough. Before setting up her own studio, she worked in high-end tailors both in London and Surrey, and produces a first class finish every time. Her studio is in Farnborough, close to the station/clock house roundabout, so is very easy to find.
She offers my clients a 10% discount too … so if you’ve got things in your wardrobe that could do with a new lease of life or you would like her to create something unique (maybe you’d like a confidence-inducing suit/dress for work or something for a special occasion?), give her a try. She’s taken jeans up for me (you’d honestly never know … amazing!), re-styled jackets, altered dresses and taken countless thing ‘up and/or in’! And the maths adds up too … the better your clothes fit, the better you’ll look and feel in them and the more you’re likely to wear them (and you’ll get compliments along the way!) … and so the ‘price per wear’ comes down.
