It’s been so lovely to see the sun this week. It definitely has the power to lift your mood doesn’t it? So if your thoughts are turning to your Spring/Summer wardrobe here is a little inspiration around the colours that you might like to wear.
Here’s a video of me talking through the core colour trends:
IN THE PINK
One of the biggest colours around is powder pink so I’m spotlighting the colour for this blog.
Powder pink will look great on you if you have cooler and lighter elements to your colouring. If you suit the Cool palettes or your palette is Light+Cool it’s definitely one to wear! It could equally be good if you have Bright+Cool colouring as you can pair it with a something darker to create a highly contrasting look.
If the lighter pinks aren’t for you, then perhaps go for something either duskier (this will be for you if you have Smokey+Cool colouring, for example), or bolder (good for you if you have Deep+Cool or Bright+Cool colouring).
The cool pinks tend not to be a good colour for anyone with a lot of warmth in their colouring, so if this is you either try a warmer shade like a blush pink maybe, or simply choose a coral instead.
Or if it’s not a colour that looks good worn up near your face and you want to give a nod to the trend why not wear some shoes in the pale pink colour or choose a print that has a small amount of the colour in it mixed with other good colours from you palette.
As the video shows there are many more colours around this season, so if the lighter pinks aren’t for you simply give them a miss and choose another colour.
If you’re unsure which colours suit you, book a colour consultation. You’ll learn which colours really help you to look healthy and vibrant and which ones to give a wide berth to! It’s great if you’re not a keen shopper too as it’ll reduce the overwhelm you often feel when faced with a myriad of options. It’ll probably halve the number of things you need to look at.
