Reed have just completed a survey with 1,500 UK workers exploring ‘Office Fashion’. Here are the key findings are:
- 93% believe that how you dress can have a positive impact on your career
- the biggest fashion faux-pa’s are ‘dirty or un-ironed clothes’ followed by ‘showing too much flesh’
- London appears to be the most fashion conscious city in the UK with 42% of Londoner’s classing their workplace as ‘fashionable’. At the other end of the scale, 95% of Welsh workers labelled their workplace as ‘stylistically challenged’!
- 75%+ of workers wouldn’t ask their boss for fashion advice!
Despite 93% of workers understanding the positive impact appearance can have on career success, the survey found that 33% either don’t plan or choose what to wear the morning before heading out to work.
