Did you know? ….
-
1 in 2 women owns more than 30 pairs of shoes!
-
75% of women own shoes that don’t fit them properly
-
55% of men have had to carry their girlfriend/wives because their feet hurt!
These were the findings of a recent Harpers Bizarre survey of 1,000 women.
So if you’re a self-confessed shoe-aholic then here is a brand that you might like to try: shoes of prey. You literally design your own shoes, choosing from 12 basic styles (everything from flats to stilettos) and 170 different colour and texture options. They then make your custom-designed shoes and send them to you within 6 weeks. They cost between £109 to £169 which, for something that’s virtually ‘bespoke’, is great value. I know plenty of their ‘fans’ so think I’m going to have to give them a whirl for myself too!
Or why not literally make your shoes yourself! Two friends and I enjoyed a Shoe Making Experience Day with Marsha Hall in Great Bookham, Surrey last year. Here’s a photo of the finished result… not bad for complete novices!
