I’m not the world’s best when it comes to keeping fit, but I do know that it can make a huge difference to the way we feel, the way we look, our posture and ultimately long term flexibility and fitness. I go to a weekly pilates class run by Hannah Epps from Farnham Pilates, which I can’t recommend highly enough. I’ve been going for over 7 years now and honestly love it. Check out Hannah’s classes here.
Or, if you enjoy running, try The Running Clinic run by Nina Robinson. She is passionate about helping people to develop an effective running technique and will assess and treat runners of all abilities.
Whatever form of exercise you choose, you’ll always feel better if you wear something flattering rather than just the baggy t-shirt that you think covers a multitude of sins! The truth is that when you wear something in an uplifting colour and a flattering shape, you will already feel better about the way you look. So here’s a few ideas:
The pretty coloured vest tops are from BAM Clothing and all made from bamboo, a moisture absorbent, highly breathable and eco-friendly product. The two tone top from wellicious.com is great for creating a slim silhouette and its long length will ensure tummies stay hidden even when you’re stretching or exercising vigorously! For those who prefer to keep their upper arms covered, try this 3/4 sleeve top again from BAM – it comes in 4 lovely colours. Or if you need warmth, a base layer top like this two-toned base layer blue top is particularly flattering. And, if you’ve got great legs show them off! Go for something that draws the eye to them like these black/pink detailed Gore leggings. Or if you want to balance hips/bottom then choose a jogging pant with a slight flare/bootleg.
