Spring Brights
Why not take a step towards Spring and inject some colour into your wardrobe. There are all sorts of looks about to hit the high street for Spring/Summer’13, from monochrome through to brights! Just look at these fabulous colours from Boden. As it’s still rather cold outside I’ve picked Bright jeans that you can tuck into your warm winter boots until the weather improves at which point add a pair of sweetie coloured shoes. Alternatively choose one of the zesty jumpers to add to your blue jeans. Just great fun!
Dresses
If brights are not for you, what about investing in a dress? It makes getting getting dressed in the morning so easy, just add a couple of accessories and you’re done! Wear with a jacket for a more formal look, or a knit for a more relaxed look. Have a look at the selection below, including two from The Fold whose collection I really like. They seem to understand that working women also want to be feminine! Better still they will happily make you a dress with the top a different size from the bottom to ensure a perfect fit!
The first dress,a print jersey dress from LK Bennett, ticks the ‘spring brights’ box without being over the top. If the colours are too bright for you it also comes in blue (featured here).
The next two dresses are from The Fold, the Bond Street is simple yet elegant with it’s suede detail and a neutral colour that works with a bright, black, red and navy so versatile and endless options for accessorising. Every woman should have a red dress in her wardrobe for those day she wants to assert herself in the office or charm through dinner and the Draycott is such a flattering shape with it’s draping.
This Colourblock dress from Fenn Wright Manson is great on curves and wearing a dark colour below the waist gives the illusion of smaller hips, I love the navy and emerald colour combination too.
Blue is one of the big colours for Spring 2013, in all shades. This bright little A line dress by Joseph at my-wardrobe.com is so pretty, pair with navy to make it more sober for the office or add another bright, silver or white for evenings.
Finally, what about this Stripe dress from Boden. Nautical navy and white are always great for Spring, and were featured on many of the catwalks. With it’s optical illusion stripes this dress is both flattering and feminine.
