With the temperature starting to fall (yes, I know it’s still September but I’ve turned my heating on already!), you might be wanting to invest in some cosy knitwear. So, here’s a few examples of knitwear on the high street.
These knitted dresses are from John Lewis. They look great dressed casually with ribbed or patterned tights and flat boots, or make them smarter with opaque tights and heeled shoe boots.

Boden always has a great selection of knitwear and in plenty of variety of colours. Here are the ever popular Breton stripe, and two knits in this autumn’s fashion colours – a red cable knit and a berry cashmere cardigan.

If you haven’t experienced the clothing from The White Company you are missing a treat. They always do a brilliant collection of knits including, cotton, cashmere and merino. Why not introduce a ‘sparkle knit’ into your daytime wardrobe by combining them with jeans or cords. Or this speckle curbed hem jumper is perfect for autumnal walks.

Toast is also great for quality knits – shown here is a long hooded cardigan jacket and a lovely long length knit, again in this autumn’s berry colour.Swing shape tunic top Merino hooded cardigan
And finally a few knits from the Baukjen collection. A lovely drape cardigan which comes in three colourways, a rib polo neck sweater dress in emerald and the perfect slouchy weekend jumper in wine.
